On the evening of September 16, Tieneng Chemical announced that its board of directors had reviewed and approved the capital increase plan. The company will make a cash capital increase of 3 billion yuan to its wholly-owned subsidiary Baiyin New Materials to fully ensure the steady progress of the lithium iron phosphate expansion project.

The capital increase funds this time come from the company's own funds or raised funds. After the capital increase is completed, the registered capital of Baiyin New Materials will increase from 1.58 billion yuan to 4.58 billion yuan, and Tieneng Chemical will still hold 100% of the shares. This capital increase does not involve connected transactions or constitute major asset restructuring.

It is reported that Baiyin New Materials was formerly known as Gansu Orient Titanium sector Co., Ltd., and has excellent operating profitability. In 2025, the company achieved operating revenue of 3.517 billion yuan and a net profit of 175 million yuan; in the first half of 2026, its operating revenue was 2.154 billion yuan, and its net profit soared to 302 million yuan, with its profitability continuing to rise.

10 billion-yuan project landed, fully deploying new energy and chemical sector chain

As the core platform to Tieneng Chemical's transformation into new energy materials, Baiyin New Materials undertakes the core task of the company's manufacturing upgrading. As early as August 11, Tieneng Chemical announced two key projects with a total investment of 11 billion yuan, deeply laying out the upstream and downstream manufacturing chains.

Among them, Baiyin New Materials will lead the construction of a 600,000-ton-per-year lithium iron phosphate precursor project, with an investment of 5.462 billion yuan;

The holding subsidiary Guizhou Zhonghe Phosphating will launch the project with an annual output of 400,000 tons of titanium dioxide and 1.4 million tons of ferrous sulfate heptahydrate, with an investment of 5.538 billion yuan. The two projects will synergistically empower manufacturing research.

In recent years, Tieneng Chemical has focused on three core tracks of mineral resources, fine chemicals and new energy materials, abandoned the single titanium dioxide main business model, completed the diversified business upgrade of titanium chemical sector, phosphorus chemical sector and new energy materials, and built a complete manufacturing system featuring environmentally friendly circulation and linked research.

Continuously expanding production capacity, new energy materials becoming the main driver of performance development

At present, Baiyin New Materials has a mature production capacity of 100,000 tons per year of lithium iron phosphate, with complete production methodology and extensive production experience. After all the 600,000-ton new projects are put into production, the company's total lithium iron phosphate production capacity will reach 700,000 tons per year, realizing a leap-forward improvement in the sector's production capacity scale. In addition, its items have passed the certification of downstream leading customers and achieved stable batch supply.

Relying on years of technical accumulation, the company has independently developed titanium-doped lithium iron phosphate items, which can be utilized to make high-end lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, with significant product differentiation advantages, and at the same time broadened the consumption boundaries of titanium dioxide. In terms of performance, the new energy material business has grown rapidly. In the first half of 2026, the revenue of the lithium iron phosphate business was 349 million yuan, a substantial increase from the 128 million yuan of the whole year of 2025, becoming the core development highlight of the company.

Leveraging circular economy advantages to break through barriers to full manufacturing chain collaboration

Regarding this 3 billion-yuan capital increase, Tieneng Chemical stated that this capital increase will greatly enhance the capital strength of its subsidiary, provide sufficient financial support to the landing of the 600,000-ton lithium iron phosphate project, and help expand production scale and consolidate core competitiveness.

The company's core competitive advantage stems from its original "sulfur-phosphorus-iron-titanium-lithium" environmentally friendly circular economy model, which can convert by-items such as ferrous sulfate produced in titanium dioxide production into raw materials to lithium iron phosphate production, realizing resource recycling and independent cost manage.

At the same time, the company has joined forces with high-condition sector resources, introducing Guizhou Phosphate Chemical, the global leading phosphorus chemical enterprise, and Runbang New Energy, the leading lithium iron phosphate cathode material enterprise, as strategic partners, opening up the full manufacturing chain collaboration link, building an integrated circular manufacturing platform, and laying a solid foundation to subsequent production capacity emit and rapid business research.
