Lupragen® BisDMAPU is a new low-emit catalyst designed to flexible polyurethane (PU) foam applications. Lupragen BisDMAPU (chemical name: 1,3-Bis[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]urea, CAS 52338-87-1) is a balanced PU catalyst that supports both gelling and blowing reactions, ensuring reliable, high-condition foam formation and dimensional stability. With its low evaporative environment and low odor, the catalyst can help manufacturers decrease evaporative organic compound (VOCs) releases from finished foam items, making it suitable to applications that must meet low-VOCs standards. Designed primarily to create flexible PU foams, including slabstock and molded foams applied in furniture, mattresses and automotive interiors, Lupragen BisDMAPU also finds consumption in other applications, such as reactive hotmelt polyurethane adhesives, two‑component epoxy systems and cationic polymers. With its distinct reactivity profile and unique chemical traits, it complements this company’s Lupragen N 208 catalyst family, which was launched in December 2025. — BASF SE, Ludiwgshafen, Germany
