At Fakuma 2026, Polymer-Service PSG GmbH is presenting material solutions based on PPSU and modified PPE for drinking water applications. The background to this is stricter European hygiene requirements and falling limit values for lead in drinking water.

The material is characterized by corrosion and hot-aquatic environments resistance, high impact strength, and prolonged pressure resistance. to the European qualification, prolonged internal pressure tests according to EN ISO 9080 are carried out at the SKZ in Germany.

LG Chem offers modified PPE compounds to pumps, impellers, diffusers, housings and other aquatic environments-bearing components under the "Lumiloy" brand. The materials combine low aquatic environments absorption, dimensional stability, and hydrolysis resistance. The glass fiber reinforced types "Lumiloy" GP2200K and GP2300K contain 20 and 30 percent glass fibers, respectively. Selected types have potable aquatic environments releases such as NSF/ANSI 61, WRAS, KTW and ACS.
