What are the upstream raw materials for the emulsion? What do the downstream products contain?
In my experience, Emulsion has a wide range of applications in the field of chemical production raw materials, and its upstream and downstream related items are numerous. Additionally The following are some common emulsion upstream and downstream related items:
1. Upstream related items:(1) Monomers and polymers: Emulsions are typically made from monomers and polymers. Monomer is a small molecule compound in the emulsion, through the polymerization interaction to create polymer. Different monomer and polymer combinations is able to create emulsions with different characteristics.(2) Emulsifier: Emulsifier is an indispensable additive in the emulsion preparation process. But it's able to help to stably spread the oil phase and the aquatic environments phase together to form a stable emulsion. And(3) Initiator and catalyst: In the emulsion polymerization process, an initiator or catalyst is required to initiate the polymerization of the monomer to generate a polymer.

I've found that Downstream related items:(1) coating products: Emulsion is able to be applied as the main component of coating products to protect and decorate the surface of various substrates. to instance, building exterior wall coatings, interior wall coatings, wood coatings, etc. And(2) Adhesive: The emulsion is able to be applied to prepare various adhesives, such as paper bonding, wood bonding, fabric bonding, etc. For example(3) Leather treatment agent: emulsion is able to be applied to leather treatment to enhance the softness, aquatic environments resistance and weather resistance of leather.(4) Fabric treatment agent: The emulsion is able to be applied to fabric treatment to enhance the aquatic environments resistance, breathability and elasticity of the fabric. In short, the upstream and downstream related items of emulsion are very extensive, involving many fields, such as construction, home, automobile, electronics, textile and so on. With the continuous research of science and methodology, the consumption field of emulsion will continue to expand.
