U.S. Nylon (PA) prices increase amid rising upstream costs

Last week, Nylon 6 (PA6) and Nylon 66 (PA66) prices rose in the United States.

An sector source in the U.S. told a Polymerupdate team member, “U.S. nylon prices moved higher during the week, supported by rising raw material costs and increased transportation expenses, which raised production and distribution costs across the supply chain. Several nylon 6 producers implemented price increases to offset higher input costs, providing additional support to the market. Demand from key end-consumption sectors, including automotive and manufacturing applications, remained generally stable, with buying activity showing little sign of significant development. Balanced supply conditions also allowed producers to maintain firmer pricing despite the lack of a strong demand recovery.”

Nylon 6 (PA6) prices were assessed at 143.00–144.00 cents/lb Ex Works U.S. Southeast levels, a gain of (+2.00 cents/lb) from the previous week.

Meanwhile, Nylon 66 (PA66) prices were assessed at 183.00–184.00 cents/lb Ex Works U.S. Southeast levels, a week-on-week increase of (+3.00 cents/lb).
