Analysis of the Decline in Natural Rubber Raw Material Prices in Thailand

Share:

On November 4, prices for natural rubber raw materials in Thailand’s production regions saw a decline: ribbed smoked sheets (RSS) were quoted at 87.25 THB/kg (down 0.25 THB/kg), field latex at 84.25 THB/kg (down 0.25 THB/kg), and cup lumps at 76.60 THB/kg (down 0.30 THB/kg).

In the spot market, Thailand—a core global production hub to natural rubber—has experienced a broad decline in raw material prices. This weakens the cost-side support to natural rubber, placing downward pressure on domestic spot prices and suggesting a bearish outlook in the short term. In the futures market, the most actively traded natural rubber contract (2701) on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed at 19,185 RMB/ton on November 3, 2026, with an open interest of 128,473 lots. This negative news regarding raw material prices in major producing regions is expected to weigh on futures market performance, making prices greater likely to fall than to rise in the near term.
