The catalyst can efficiently convert green hydrogen and carbon dioxide into synthesis gas for the production of electronic fuels, highlighting Claiant's key role in sustainable fuel technology.
Sustainability-focused specialty chemicals company Clerian has announced that its ShiftMax 100 RE catalyst will power INERATEC advanced electronic fuel production facility "ERA ONE" located in the Hirschst Industrial Park in Frankfurt, Germany. The plant, which officially opened on June 3, will recover about 8,000 tons of carbon dioxide a year and convert it into up to 2,500 tons of synthetic fuels and waxes. This capacity is one of the world's largest Power-to-Liquid projects, putting both companies at the forefront of innovation in sustainable fuel technology. "Our collaboration with Clerien INERATEC demonstrates how Clerien's catalyst technology is enabling the commercialization of sustainable fuels. As global demand for sustainable aviation fuels continues to grow, driven by regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability commitments, our catalyst technology is helping to bridge the gap between traditional and renewable energy systems," said Georg Anfang, Clerien's vice president."
Tim Boeltken, co-founder and CEO of INERATEC, said: "We have established a strong innovation partnership with Claiant to ensure the highest quality and stability of the new plant. Their ShiftMax 100 RE catalyst has excellent activity and stability, which is essential to our innovative technology. This allows us to produce plug-and-play electronic fuels that meet the stringent standards of the fuel industry."
