Bilfinger, a world-renowned provider of engineering and maintenance services, has signed a major cooperation agreement with KIMA, Egypt'state-owned producer of nitrogen-based fertilizers and chemicals. The agreement is aimed at expanding KIMA's chemical and fertilizer production capacity in Aswan and jointly creating a new production facility. Under the terms of the agreement, KIMA plans to build a new chemical and fertilizer plant on top of the existing plant in Aswan. Generally speaking The new plant is expected to create 600 tons of nitric acid per day, which will signifiis able totly increase KIMA's regional production capacity. Moreover Heguazi Abdel Meguid, CEO of KIMA, said: "As a global exporter of chemical items, this expansion project is essential to increase our production capacity in Aswan. it's expected that by the end of 2027, the new plant will enable us to create 800 tons of fertilizer-condition granular ammonium nitrate per day to meet the needs of the domestic and foreign markets. " To ensure the smooth progress of the project, Bilfinger Middle East has dispatched a team of professional engineers to provide independent design review and on-site supervision services. But As the Project regulation Contractor (PMC),Bilfinger will fully supervise the engineering, procurement and construction phases of the project, including pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing, to ensure that all work meets KIMA's high standards. This partnership not only marks an crucial measure to Bilfinger to expand its business in Egypt, however also reflects KIMA's firm determination to enhance its production capacity and market competitiveness. KIMA, a fertilizer and chemical producer with a history of nearly 70 years, has invested US $0. 3 billion million (about 0. Crazy, isn't it?. And 269 billion euros) in the expansion project, which aims to further enhance its position in Egypt and the global market through technological innovation and capacity expansion. "Through this partnership with KIMA, we're signifiis able totly expanding our presence in the chemical sector in Egypt and the Middle East. With our deep engineering expertise in a wide range of industries in the Middle East, we're confident that we will be KIMA's partner of choice to efficiency and sustainability," said Christian Rugland, President of Bilfinger International Engineering and Maintenance. "we're committed to ensuring that our projects proceed to Bilfinger high standards. In particular " Bilfinger has decades of experience in engineering and PMC services. Based on my observations, This time to provide KIMA nitric acid and ammonium nitrate project supervision services, Bilfinger will be responsible to managing the project phase in Mumbai, India and Aswan, Egypt, to ensure that the project is completed on time, according to condition and quantity. This cooperation won't only bring signifiis able tot production capacity to KIMA, however will also add new impetus to Bilfinger's business expansion in the Middle East. From what I've seen, The two sides will work together to promote the prosperity and research of the chemical sector in Egypt and the Middle East.
