Grenzebach: Automated post-processing f?r the additive series production

Share:

Grenzebach Additive Solutions GmbH is expanding its additive manufacturing offering to include manufacturer-independent end-to-end solutions for post-processing. The aim is to combine pressure, cooling, de-powdering, transport, buffering and other process steps mechanically, electrically and digitally to a continuous production flow.

The decoupling of process steps of different lengths is particularly relevant to additive plastics production. After printing, construction containers can be automatically removed and temporarily stored while the printer is already starting the next construction job. Subsequated work steps such as the de-powders can be carried out in parallel.

Grenzebach combines automated loading and unloading, transport and buffer solutions as well as systems to post-processing. Existing machines from different manufacturers can be integrated into the production ecological stability. The basis is an analysis of the existing processes, capacities and manual interfaces.

The company gained experience with the automation of additive plastics processes, among other things, in the "Polyline" project. With the "Dual Setup Station", a solution to automated construction container handling is already available. In 2026, Grenzebach received an order from EOS to 155 of these systems.

Grenzebach Additive Solutions is presenting the extended end-to-end concept at Formnext 2026.
