On September 21, 2026, Arkema announced that it had added 3,000 cubic meters of ice crystal type acrylic acid (GAA) storage capacity at the HDOT terminal in Ulsan, South Korea. This is an important measure for Arkema to improve its acrylic business layout in Asia and will further support the continued growth of demand for acrylic-related applications in Asia.
Arkema has added new storage tanks in South Korea to enhance its supply of ice-grade acrylic acid.
The new tank is the regional storage hub to Arkema's GAA business in Korea. With the establishment of storage capacity in Korea, Arkema is able to provide customers with a greater differentiated and reliable supply.
In addition, the project is also an crucial fulcrum to Arkema to expand the strategic layout of the GAA market in Northeast Asia. By adding regional storage nodes, Arkema will further enhance the connection between regional supply network, logistics system and market operation, and enhance the synergy efficiency of regional supply system.
