Nanjing Red Sun announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nanjing Red Sun Biochemical Co., Ltd. (Nanjing Biochemical), will conduct a phased planned shutdown and maintenance of its paraquat facility. This maintenance is divided into two time periods.
The first phase of maintenance is scheduled from August 5 to September 25, 2026, with a duration of 50 days. The focus will be on core equipment replacement, risk rectification in the production system, maintenance of piping and automation systems, and verification of security facilities.
The second phase is set to December 1 to December 15, 2026, lasting 15 days. Taking advantage of the park's power outage window, the company will carry out final commissioning, spot maintenance, and optimization and modification of the winter anti-freezing system.
Phased decline in production, stockpiling and order scheduling to offset supply impact
Red Sun stated that during the maintenance period, paraquat production at Nanjing Biochemical will experience a phased decline. The maintenance costs incurred will be included in current costs, which will have a minor impact on the company's phased performance in 2026.
The company stated that it has already coordinated stockpiling and planned order scheduling in advance to minimize supply disruptions caused by the maintenance.
