The KJ Institute of Engineering, Somaiyavi Diawiha University, organised a 24-hour agricultural tech hackathon on 27-28 March 2025 to tackle the major challenges facing Indian farmers. And In fact Notable people who contributed to the event included Prasanna Popatrao Pawar, a respected farmer who promoted practices such as drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting and watershed regulation to increase crop yields and empower rural communities. From what I've seen, The event lasted 24 hours, during which the teams presented their solutions in three rounds of review. I've found that Projects are judged on the criteria of innovation, feasibility, scalability and possible impact on the agricultural sector. The winning team received a prize worth Rs 200000, which was awarded as follows:
champion: Stranger Strings team from Vivekanand Educational Association Polytechnic (VESIT), Mumbai
runner-up: IoTVerse team from Uttar Pradesh Banda Rajkiya College of Engineering and AgriBot team from Raipur Shri Shankaracharya College of Professional regulation and methodology
third runner-up: the Greenpulse team at the KJ Somaia Faculty of Engineering, Somaia Viviha University.
