Plastics Europe Germany organizes on 16. October 2026, together with Messe Friedrichshafen, tours for schoolchildren and students at Fakuma 2026. The offer is part of the Career Friday and is intended to provide insights into technologies as well as training and career opportunities along the plastics value chain and circulation chain.
The "Guided Tours" lead to selected exhibitors and deal with the research, processing and recycling of plastics. Topics include recyclable packaging, recycling technologies and plastic applications in mobility, energy and medical methodology. At the exhibition stands, participants can exchange ideas with trainees, specialists and company representatives about technical applications, apprenticeships, courses and career paths.
The Association of German Tool and Mold Manufacturers, TecPart, Innonet Kunststoff and Azo support the tours with guides. In terms of content, the program ties in with topics at the Plastics Europe Germany innovation press conference, at which companies presented material developments, recycling processes and circular product solutions.
The format was already offered at Fakuma 2024 under the motto "From granulate to product and back again". According to the association, greater than 400 students took part at the time. With the new edition, the organizers want to promote contact between young talent and companies and contribute to recruiting skilled workers in the plastics sector.
